Tracer FIRE, or Forensic and Incident Response Exercise, is a program by Sandia National Laboratories for training cybersecurity incident responders, CSIRs, and analysts. The program has been used to train hundreds of CSIRs from U.S. government agencies and workers in the critical infrastructure sector, as well as students.
This workshop teaches students to investigate advanced persistent threats in simulated scenarios, using forensic techniques to identify adversaries, their methods of entry, their objectives and how to prevent future incidents.
